Public computers on both floors with

  • Internet Access (WiFi is available 24/7, use HCDLPUBLIC-secured-PW=12345678 network and accept the Use Policy before using the WiFi network)

  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OpenOffice, GIMP, Adobe Reader, and iTunes

  • Educational Games (only available in youth area)

Catalog Computers are located throughout the library to allow finding of library materials. Digitization stations are also located in the public computer area.

Low Vision Video Magnifier

Internet Computer area has a Low Vision Video Magnifier for the Visually Impaired.  It has controls for viewing mode, magnification and brightness.  The viewing mode allows for full color, black on white, white on black, yellow on blue, yellow on black and green on black.  The table is adjustable in both front to back and side to side directions.

Photocopying, Scanning & Faxing

Photocopying

  • Black & White copies: 10¢ per page

  • Color copies: 50¢ per page

The public photocopier makes black & white or color copies, single-sided or double-sided, on library-supplied 8.5″ x 11″ white copy paper. No other paper may be used in the library’s printers. Ask at the Computer Help Desk for assistance.

Cash-only payments are accepted at the payment machine connected to the copier. The copier payment machine accepts any U.S. coins other than pennies ($1 coins accepted) and $1 bills.

Available in the Copy/Print/Fax Room.

Faxing

  • $1.00 per page

The Library Document Station (LDS) allows for faxing a maximum of 20 pages per fax. To fax, use the LDS Scan to Fax feature. Ask at the Computer Help Desk or the Information Desk for assistance.

Cash and credit card payments are accepted for faxing via the credit card reader and payment machine attached to the LDS. The LDS payment machine accepts any U.S. coins other than pennies ($1 coins accepted) and $1 and $5 bills.

Available in the Copy/Print/Fax Room or behind the Information Desk.

Scanning

The Library Document Station allows for scanning to Email, USB, Google Drive, Mobile Device, Dropbox, or OneDrive. There is a paper feed for multiple page scanning. The scans can be to PDF, Searchable PDF, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, Word, and MP3. PDF security can also be added to encrypt the PDF. Documents can be scanned in Color, Gray scale or Black & White.

There is no fee for scanning to the listed formats. The only fee is Scan to Fax listed above.

Printing & Mobile Printing

Printing

  • Black & White Prints: 10¢ per page

Mobile Printing

Mobile printing is provided through the Princh service.  This service allows printing of documents or images from your Internet connected PC or mobile device to one of our library printers.  There are 3 ways to send documents or images to this service.

  1. Use the Princh website and fill out the form and submit.
  2. Install the Princh app on your mobile device and use the app to send files to the Princh service.  (Only available on mobile devices)
  3. To print an email message or attachment, simply forward your email to

    Email forwarding is ideal for online email portals such as Yahoo!, Hotmail or Google Mail.

After sending your documents or images you will need to come to the library to release the print jobs you sent.  You will use your email address to find your jobs to release from the print queue.
