You pick your notice preference when signing up for a library card or through your library account in the catalog. You can call the library at 517-546-0720 to help make the changes for you. Please allow 24 hours for the changes to take effect. You have the following notice preferences to choose from.

Email Notices

You will receive Hold Pickup, Courtesy, Auto Renewal, Overdue and Bill notices. Email notices are sent between the hours of 7am – 5pm.

Phone Notices

You will receive Hold Pickup, Overdue and Billed notices. You will receive calls from this phone # (833) 403-0528 and you may want to add this phone# to your contacts and label it Howell Library. Phone notices are sent between the hours of 9am – 5pm.

Text Notices

You will receive Hold Pickup, Courtesy, Overdue and Bill notices. You will receive texts from this phone # (833) 403-0528 and you may want to add this phone# to your contacts and label it Howell Library. You can opt in/out of the notices you receive. Text notices are sent between the hours of 9am – 5pm. Standard text rates apply.
