Michigan State
Pick up your free print Michigan state tax booklets:
MI-1040 Individual Income Tax Return
MI-1040CR Homestead Property Tax Credit Claim
The booklets for the new year usually arrive at our Library in mid-February. Once the new year’s booklets are available at our Library, the previous year’s booklets are no longer available.

The Library is no longer an access point for printed Federal Tax Forms. Federal tax forms can be obtained online or directly from the IRS:
IRS.gov/forms-instructions – to view and download
IRS.gov/orderforms – to order tax products to be delivered by mail
IRS.gov/forms-pubs/ebooks – to view and download tax publications and 1040 instructions on mobile devices as an eBook
Call 1-800-829-3676 for more information
Tax forms printed from the IRS website on library computers will incur a 10¢ charge per page.
Please note: Library staff cannot provide tax advice or assistance beyond locating requested forms.
Tax Assistance
Due to volunteer shortages, there is no Tax Assistance at the Library for 2022.
Visit the Accounting Aid Society’s website or call them at 313-556-1920 to make a tax preparation appointment at one of their tax sites.
