The Howell Carnegie District Library (HCDL) is committed to making its digital resources and website content accessible to all visitors. HCDL is actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of its website by using current standards and guidelines.

Using the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, HCDL is working toward compliance with level AA guidelines which define how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Nevertheless, the HCDL website contains links to websites that may not be in compliance with the accessibility guidelines. HCDL does not maintain or control material available via these links. Some of the items in HCDL’s collection pose challenges that require us to explore creative ways to enhance web accessibility.
