The Howell Carnegie District Library supports patrons’ informational, educational and recreational interests by providing material in a wide range of formats including free basic access to information via the Internet. In keeping with the provisions of the Children’s Internet Protect Act (CIPA) the library employs filtering on all of its computers with Internet access and its wireless connection.
Filtering software is not foolproof. Filters can block access to sites that users would consider appropriate in a public library setting.
